Franklin D. Curry, 84, of Syracuse, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2017 at the Van Duyn Home, after a short stay.
He was born April 24, 1933, in Binghamton, the son of the late Elijah and Mabel Curry, was a graduate of Binghamton Central School and continued his higher education in the Binghamton area. He was a US Air Force veteran of the Korean War, stationed in Germany. Throughout his career, Franklin worked as a Real Estate Agent and retired as an Engineer Tech from IBM in Endicott. He was a member of Believer’s Chapel in Fayetteville and the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ida; a brother, William (Barbara) Curry of Reno, NV; his in-laws, Lena Moss and Cleveland Jackson, both of Syracuse; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to attend his services on Wednesday at 12 noon in the Chapel of the Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery, 4069 Howlett Hill Road, Syracuse (Onondaga Hill), followed by military honors.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to all the caring medical staff that helped Franklin during his illness from both Binghamton and Syracuse.
