Irving T. Chatterton, 83, of 417 Grant Blvd, Syracuse, died Friday, May 24, 2019. He was born November 28, 1935, in Elmira, to Irving T. Chatterton, Sr. and Gladys Dann Chatterton. Irving attended Mansfield University, Bucknell University and did post graduate studies in the Doctorial Program at Penn State University. He is survived by his daughter, Beth M. Scoville of Binghamton; his son, Geoffrey W. (Joan) Chatterton of Southport, ME; and five grandchildren, Emma, Drew, Seth, Robbie and Nathan. Also surviving is his spouse, Luis E. Becerra.
Irving was a certified and licensed Psychologist and School Psychologist. Additionally, he served as Director of Special Education for the Department of the Interior in Washington, DC and as Coordinator of Student Personnel Services in a private school setting.
Committal services will be at the family plot in Maple Grove Cemetery in Horseheads, at the convenience of the family.
