Linda was born in Stamford, CT on May 22, 1947 to Edward J. Dziok and Helen (Schacht) Dziok. She was a clever, smart and talkative child who grew into a brilliant and beautiful woman. She attended Syracuse University, where she studied dramatic arts. There she met her husband, Paul F. Ennis. They were married on February 21, 1970. Linda worked at WSYR Radio throughout the 1970s, setting up radio program schedules and doing voiceover work for commercials. In the ‘90s, she became a teaching assistant at H.W. Smith Elementary School in Syracuse. She helped immigrant children to learn English and adjust to their new homeland. Linda adored her family and friends, and dazzled most everyone she met with her sense of humor and her positivity. She loved music-particularly Motown, scary movies-everything Stephen King ever wrote, the summertime, fog and thunderstorms, a nice cold glass of white wine, and playing the piano. Linda was predeceased by her parents; and is survived by her beloved husband, Paul and their daughter, Christine; her siblings-in-law, and her niece and two nephews. Linda defeated cancer three times. She supported many friends who fought the same battle, and relied on their support, too, in her times of need. Calling hours will be begin at 10 am at the Fairchild & Meech DeWitt Chapel, 3690 Erie Blvd East, DeWitt on Saturday February 15, followed by a memorial service at noon. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Cancer Society so that others may fight with Linda Dziok Ennis’s strength.
