Victoria M. Conte DeFrancisco, 86, of Jamesville, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2020, after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. A lifelong resident of Jamesville, Vicky grew up and remained on the family homestead her entire life. She graduated from Jamesville High School. Her love of books led her to start her career in the library of Jamesville-DeWitt Elementary School. She then earned a degree in English from SUNY Empire College. She was a librarian in the LeMoyne College Library until her retirement. Vicky was always active in her community, especially her beloved St. Mary’s Church. She enjoyed baking, especially her Italian cookies, quilting and gardening in her spare time. She was predeceased by her parents, Gemma and Michael Conte; and her brother, John Conte. Surviving is her husband of 60 years, Anthony; brother, Salvatore Conte; sons, John (Malaine) and James; daughter, Gina (Phil) Thomas; and her grandchildren, Evan, Alex, Matthew and Nicholas. Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family at Fairchild & Meech DeWitt Chapel, 3690 Erie Blvd East, DeWitt with Rev. John Kurgan officiating. Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum, DeWitt. There are no calling hours.
