Jayne R. Chandler, 70, of Jamesville, passed away Monday, April 13, 2020 at Crouse Hospital. Born February 15, 1950, in Oneonta, she was the daughter of the late Elmore and Jennie Baldo Rudisill and moved to Syracuse at the age of 3. She worked for the New York Telephone Company, General Electric Company in Heavy Military, DeWitt Police Department as secretary to the Chief and Seaway Marketing Corp, her father’s business. Jayne also had her own business creating American Folk Art, which was featured in Home Magazine and was displayed and sold at the Museum of American Folk Art in New York City and a feature article of her own in the Syracuse Newspaper. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Douglas L. Chandler; and was mother of, Scott (Linda) Chandler of Annapolis, MD and David Chandler of Syracuse; and grandmother of, Landon Parker Chandler and Sadie Jayne Chandler. Jayne’s favorite pastime was cooking and crafting. She was known for her homemade apple pies and wrote a family cookbook, which included her maternal and fraternal family history. Due to current circumstances, private services will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Cross Church, DeWitt at a date and time to be announced. Arrangements are with Fairchild & Meech DeWitt Chapel.
