Gloria C. Mandly, 90, of DeWitt, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2020 at The Jewish Home of CNY. Born February 4, 1930, in Passaic, NJ, she was the only child of Stephen and Rose Nakonechna Nagy. After moving to Syracuse, she attended Syracuse University in her later years. Gloria worked alongside her husband of 59 years, John Park Mandly, a retired golf pro, in his manufacturer’s sales business of well-known golf products. Mr. Mandly passed away in 2015. A big part of her life was her volunteer work at Crouse Hospital, where she volunteered for almost 30 years until health issues forced her retirement. She was a member of the Crouse Health Foundation, Crouse Auxiliary, Town of DeWitt Planning Board and attended Syracuse Stage. A big part of her life was the time she spent at Crouse Hospital volunteering and mentioning all the people she got to meet and greet at the front desk lobby. She continued to go to her events with her companion Ted Marsh until her health failed her. She is survived by close friends, Dan and Jennifer Marsh of DeWitt and their children, Cody and Zack and Tim Marsh of Bethlehem, PA and his children, Liam and Mackenzie. She was predeceased by her companion, Ted Marsh, earlier this year. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 am at Fairchild & Meech DeWitt Chapel, 3690 Erie Blvd East, DeWitt with Rev. John Kurgan officiating. Interment will follow in White Chapel Memory Gardens, DeWitt. A calling hour will be held from 10-11, prior to the service.
