Lillian E. Kreso, of Syracuse, came to the United States from Bosnia in 1997. She started as an aid and worked her way up to the position of Activities Director at Clare Bridge Memory Care in Fayetteville. She subsequently had the position of Activities Coordinator at The Hearth at Greenpoint, and as Activities Director at Loretto Heritage. Since 2015 she has worked as a Social Worker at PACE. Lillian earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Cazenovia College in 2011 and a Master of Social Work degree from Syracuse University in 2015. Lillian was also a member of the Tau Epsilon Chapter of the National Organization for Human Services Honor Society. Lillian is survived by two sons, Almin and Adin Kreso; and two grandsons, Theodore and Henry Kreso. Her former husband, Andrew Zaplatynsky, was the primary caregiver in the final months of her life as she battled lung cancer. Per her wishes there will be no services. Arrangements are with Fairchild & Meech DeWitt Chapel.
