Susan Katherine Tomb, 69, of Fayetteville, NY, peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, April 6, 2021. Born in Cape Cod, MA into a military family, Susan graduated from Ithaca High School in 1969 and University of Denver in 1991. Her career included positions at O’Brien and Gere, Key Bank and Honeywell. Susan’s devotion to her faith, along with her love of teaching, led her to teach Sunday School to middle school children for over 30 years. She played guitar, loved to sing and was a talented artist. One of her paintings was displayed at the Everson Museum of Art in Syracuse, NY. Susan was predeceased by her father, Glen Tomb; and is survived by her loving mother, Dorothy Tomb; brother, Chuck (Karen) Tomb; sister, Carolyn (David) Weber; nieces and nephew, Kirsten (Charles) Snyder, Lindsey (Shaun) Moaveni, Katie, Chip & Libby Weber; and grandnieces, Anna & Claire Snyder and Charlotte & Taylor Moaveni. She was also a devoted “Mom” to her adoring dogs over the years. Susan leaves behind a legacy of love, joy, selflessness and a kind, deeply thankful spirit. A Celebration of Susan’s life will be held in June 2021. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to DeWitt Community Church. Arrangements are with Fairchild & Meech DeWitt Chapel.
