Jennie L. Sala, departed her loving family peacefully on October 13, 2021. Devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Jennie was born in Messengerville, New York on February 13, 1933 to the late Antonio and Lucia Passery. She was the youngest of six children who preceded her in death. Jennie was also predeceased by her son-in-law, James F. Millar. Jennie worked for the New York State Parks and Recreation Department for 23 years and was a member of the Jamesville Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. To all who knew her, Jennie’s greatest joy in life was her five children and she raised them with love and devotion in Jamesville, New York with her husband of 67 years, John. She loved cooking, baking, dancing, singing and taking care of her family. Jennie always sacrificed her needs for the good of her family. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending winters in Florida. Jennie is survived by her husband, John; daughters, Sherry Millar and Donna Difulvio (Jay); sons, John Sala (Debbie), Pete Sala (Laurie) and Larry Sala (Tracy); two granddaughters; six grandsons; a great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 16 at 10 am at Holy Cross Church, 4112 E. Genesee Street, DeWitt, NY. The burial will be in Jamesville Walnut Grove Cemetery, Jamesville, NY.
