Obituary of Anastasia Westpfal
Anastasia Mary (DeCourcey) Westpfal, 81, of Syracuse, died peacefully Friday surrounded by her family. A native of Portland Maine, she has lived in the Syracuse area since 1986. Anastasia was a proud mother of 11 children, 21 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church.
Anastasia enjoyed gardening, traveling, photography and spending time with her family.
Anastasia was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Albert Westpfal Jr.; as well as her granddaughter, Claire Grace DeCourcey Westpfal; and her brother, Wallace DeCourcey. Surviving are her brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Elizabeth DeCourcey of Portland, ME; her children, Stacey (Victor) Miller of Three Forks, MT, Karen (Jeffery) Vogel of Manasquan, NJ, Dr. Edith Westpfal of DeWitt, NY, Albert (Margo) Westpfal, III of Wayne, NJ, Loral (Stephen) Wilson of Minoa, NY, Kristine Westpfal of Minoa, NY, Dr. Deborah Westpfal of DeWitt, NY, Elizabeth Westpfal of Syracuse, NY, Thomas (Susanna) Westpfal of Fayetteville, NY, Paul (Patricia) Westpfal of Fayetteville, NY and Dr. Matthew Westpfal of Cicero, NY; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, great-nieces, nephews and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be private.
