Tuesday, March 12, 2019Our sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the family of Richard Barber. I first became acquainted with Richard at the wedding of Steve and Dani. I was impressed with Richard and his family, and their Christian values. I know that there will be an empty void where this gentleman stood as husband, father and grandfather. There is no easy way to face this. No "getting over it" or "getting better with time". The heartache remains. We know. But the hope of Richard, and the promise to each of us through Jesus, is that what we have lost on this earth will be restored. It is our undying hope and faith. God grant you His Peace.

Sunday, March 3, 2019Dick hired me at the old Daws Drug Store in DeWitt in 1969. I was a senior in high school and it was my first job. Dick was my first mentor and role model. We often spoke of our Baptist faith and I often stopped to say hello when he moved on to Carl's Drug. He was a wonderful influence in my life. God bless.

Saturday, March 2, 2019I have fond memories of Dick from over 40 years ago when he was a friend to Larry and me. He was a very fine man. Warm, outgoing and demonstrated God's love in his everyday life. Dan Miller and I remain friends to this day because of Dick's influences. I am sorry for your loss.
