Jim was my best friend at Onondaga Central. We spent many a nights discussing our homework and enjoying our days at our high school. He graduated as Salutatorian for the Class of 1967 at Onondaga Central. Jim also was Class President. He truly was a great student but more importantly he was a very caring person. Jim asked Bonnie to be his date for the Senior Prom and my date and myself double dated with them to our prom. Later they married and truly were a wonderful couple. Jim’s belief in God and an active member of his church was very important to him. The quote under his name in our yearbook says it all, “ Success follows every effort.” God Bless both William and Robert, their wives and children.

Hi Rob, Will and families,
I am so sorry for your loss. I know that this was not the outcome any of us were anticipating from your dad's surgery. I will miss him a great deal. As you are well aware your dad and I worshipped and served together for many years at both All Saints and St. Mark the Evangelist. We have been through the good, the bad and yes, at times even the ugly. Through it all we formed a bond that will remain with me forever. I will miss your dad, I will miss his friendship, his wisdom and his counsel. In many ways your dad was family to me and I will miss my brother.
Over the last two years your dad and I talked about many things during my weekly home visits. The one thing we always talked about were our families. I don't have to tell you that your dad loves you, you already know that. What I want to tell you is how proud he was of you and the fine adults you've become. During my last visit with him shortly before his surgery he told me that no matter the outcome he was confident of one thing; his family would be ok. He knew you have the love and support of each other and your faith in the Lord to carry you through whatever life has in store for you. I am unable to attend your dad's funeral, but please know I will be there in spirit.

So sorry to hear of Jim's passing. Spent many years playing in his back yard as we were neighbors. Always remember the ice skating ring they put up every year in the back yard and shooting his bee-bee gun. He will be greatly missed. Condolences to his family and friends.

I am very sorry to hear of Jim's passing on Thanksgiving Day. In my brief time at St. Mark's (Sept '17 - Sept '18), I came to know that warm smile. He fought the good fight. May he rest in peace with Bonnie.
Many blessings -- The Rev. Kate Day
