Obituary of Marion Jeanette Lytle

Marion Jeanette Lytle, 93, of Syracuse, NY, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 25, 2021. She was born in Plattsburgh, NY on June 5, 1928. She graduated from Our Lady of Victory and also attended Business school. On February 16, 1957 she married Raymond B. Lytle. Together, with love, they raised five children. Ray died on April 16, 1996. Marion was employed at Coleman Florist where she worked as a designer and manager for several years. She was instrumental in helping to raise her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She spent the last several years of her life learning to FaceTime, text and take pictures with her iPad and enjoying drawing, painting and baking goodies for all to enjoy. She will be remembered for her strength as a woman, the love she had for all of her family and the lessons she taught us all "To look for the good in others over any faults they may have, and to love one another”. She is survived by her children, Lois (Scott) Sperling, Brian (Heather Arns) Lytle, Cecelia (Ric) Anderson, Joan (Peter) Coleman and Timothy (Michele) Lytle; her grandchildren, Daniel, Todd (Danielle), Chad, Zack, Arielle (Daniel) and Caleb; great grandchildren, Orion, Aurora, Breyer, Chloe, Leonardo, Noah, Kaylin, Jacob and Natalie; and four step grandchildren and their children. She is also survived by her sisters, Roxie, Donna, Judy, Catherine and their spouses. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her parents, Catherine Martineau Bushey and Chester Bushey; and her siblings, Gertie, Tommy, Margie, Delores, Shirley, Muriel, Malcom, Eleanor, Buddy and Bernie. She loved everyone and will be remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday, December 29 from 4-7 pm at Fairchild & Meech DeWitt Chapel, 3690 Erie Blvd East, DeWitt. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 8:00 am at Our Lady of Hope Church (formerly St. James), 4845 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, with interment following at the Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Donations may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Flowers or plants are always appreciated.
